Metal/Wire Sculpture

Lynn Walters is a designer maker of metal and wire sculpture, inspired by memories of people and places. She uses a mixture of metal and wire which include - anodised aluminium, mild steel wire, stainless steel wire, recycled tin, copper wire, sheet steel, mildsteel mesh and found objects.
Metal sculptures depict housing exteriors and fun and witty interiors. Memories of her childhood are quite vivid, small snapshots of time come to her in flashes, trigggered by a familiar song, colour or even smell. She thinks about her mother doing the daily chores around the house. Patterns on the wallpaper,floor coverings and ordinary objects become very personal and meaningful.
